| The Story We All Want to Forget
|
All I am about to tell you is true. And it is true because I tell it to you the way it happened,
exactly. I can not explain it all in words, but I will try. So, without further delay
I give you the story of Rhett, Adam, and the fish. The story we all want to forget. But we can't, for
that would allow for it to happen again.
![]() As we were walking, we all felt funny. Adam screamed(not unlike a girl) and fell down and cut open his knee pretty bad. This was not strange, it had happened before, but what was strange is what happened later on that week. We had all gone home and not thought anymore about it. We saw him a few days later at school and his was shivering, his knee was a purplish color and a bulge had started forming on his knee. Rhett reached down and touched it, it was hot he said. It almost burnt him. We all got really scared. At lunch we met Adam and the bulge was a lot bigger. He was really disturbed when suddenly it began to move. Not his knee moving, but the actual bulge itself. Suddenly his knee split open and something fell out, or more squirmed out. It fell to the ground and stopped moving. I finaly realized what it was through all the blood and saw that it was a fish! A medium size trout. We all felt sick and Adam's knee was bleeding all over. I ran home and so did everyone else, except Adam who sat there bewildered not knowing what to do with the fish and his knee. The next day I went back to school and Adam wasn't there. Rhett was and he was very scared because his throat had puffed up the night before and he had puked all over. His parents said it was no big deal and that all growing kids had that happen to them, so they made him go to school. Before school had started we were walking around, when suddenly Rhett started felling bad. He said his neck was moving. I looked at it and saw something moving around in there. He started to puke and something flung out of his throat. It was another bloody squirming fish. This one fish did not die instantly, but instead, it flopped around for an hour before one of the teachers came and threw it away. From that point on, Rhett, Adam, and I have not been the same. We have never eaten fish, and never gone in the water. We can not bring ourselves to do it. We can not explain what happened, only tell you of it. |
